Not sure if this has been posted before. but I found this as I was searching for the Sialkot match of this series in 1989, which I had the pleasure of watching live. This is the Lahore match, with Imran as the captain. Waqar Younus was bowling, and Srikanth complained about not being LBW, and was called back by Imran after being given out by the umpire. What happened next is history.
Interestingly, this was perhaps one of 2 occasions in this series that Srikanth’s wicket went to someone other than Wasim Akram…otherwise Wasim took Srikanth’s wicket a good 5 or 6 times in this series.

Even batting was a plus in those days. It was unpredictable for sure but it did click from time to time even under pressure. Look at some of the shots played by IK, Javed Miandad and Inzamam etc. pure class. Even tail enders did not give up easily in those days. Wasim Akram (though not a genuine all-rounder) hit a few 4s towards the end and that we lack badly in today's team, everybody gets out without trying and tail-enders don't care.
