cricket n cheerleaders

for the past couple of years my interest in cricket has declined to almost nil. I think its mainly because of the fact that you have to engage yourself for almost 7 hours to get to know about the match results…and this is if you are lucky to follow an ODI, otherwise we are talking about days here.

Wouldnt it be a great idea if we play cricket on the same pattern as that of baseball? A baseball game is more interesting and more enticing in a way that within 2 hours or so, you not only get to see the match results but also you are able to see the full rotation of both team members. I think this kind of pattern would bring more life to the game of cricket.

and not to forget, if we include cheerleaders…yea! how about if we have someone “official” to buck up a player for every boundary he scores…or for every home run…err…every touch down…errr…i mean for every sixer

naheen, the concept of cheerleadres is just to add some “sugar n spice” to the game

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/wink.gif

otherwise the main idea behind this post was to get your opinion(s) on this kind of change in the game of cricket.

We already have the double wicket, triple wicket, sixer and what not as part of the halla gulla cricket. That is short, sweet and very dhamaka khez.

So, why do you want to take away the 5-day and the ODI versions. Live and let live.

As far as Cheerleaders are concerned.... nah! we don't want cricket fields to look like a mujra place.

The Game Responds:

*It's supposed to be a gentleman's game,If you are so desperate for *sugar and spice*,search the web(It's full of it).Now go watch baseball,**Kid**.People,That Is All.*

The People's Van is going to get you, little *shmucks,It is going to get you.*

Please leave cricket alone.

If u can’t enjoy the beauty of real cricket then u better not watch it. There is alot of cricket played the way u want it to be played my suggestion is u stick with that. Let us, wo love cricket, enjoy the pleasure of a test match being decided on the last day of the match.

o come on u guys…gimme a break!
u think the baseball or football players are just a bunch of dumb @$$e$ shagging around with cheerleaders!!! and the cricketers are gentlemen…they are such a saint that they dont know about any worldly thing outside the boundary line of playground

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/smile.gif

ok, just keep this “cheerleaders” thing separate…how about if we have a cricket match of 10 innings (as in baseball) each having 5 overs…this will result in the same 100 overs in total (for both the teams) but atleast this would be more interesting…in a way that the suspense and thrill would prevail throughout the match. btw after each innings playoff, there could be a 10 mins cheerleaders show as well

this attitude of yours remind me of dumb umpires who think that they are the lord of cricket ground, and their words are of some divine nature and no one can challenge their decision or belief.

btw that raises another question...why is it that only in the game of cricket an umpire is treated as a GOD??? and if any player uses some harsh words against that so-called GOD, he is penalised...why is there such a policing environment in cricket??? its always amusing to see players fighting with umpires...isnt it!

Does that mean this cricket is the only game played under "discipline" and all other games are just a sequence of disorderly actions??? come on...why dont we take this cricket as just another game? why all this concept and rules are made such a taboo in nature???

The Game Responds To The *Idiotic Query*:

         *Yes.People,That Is All.*

so far you guys are behaving like “cricket ministers”…and talking to me as if i have been convicted of “cricket blasphemy”…more like a behaviour shown by that dumb person standing all day long in the ground

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/biggrin.gif

well, i was just suggesting some changes that can make this game more lively…and yes, i am in favour of test cricket…'cuz thats where one really comes to know about the players true abilities…but in addition to that we can have some more interesting matches…isnt it possible?
