Re: cricket is a religion
The thread revived again after a monster performance from Afridi. I was about to let go of Afridi but the dude has revived my faith in him he played like a beast. Especially the six that left the ground. explosive stuff!
Re: cricket is a religion
Dude, if you base your “cricket is a religion” rant on Afridi’s once-in-a-while performances, you are a shmuck :o . Although, it was G-R-E-A-T to watch I must admit
.
Re: cricket is a religion
Have no idea how this half-arsed game goes on, and I don't wanna know either to be honest: I mean, oh come on, the most that can happen is a lofted six off a piece of wood that the ever-infidelic South Asian crowd will go nuts for >> what kind of an idiot considers that religion?
Gamma Dilation you should not be overestimating this game (which in my opinion is in fact quite boring AT LEAST to watch) and criminally boasting it as a religion .. I know that you are just "expressing" but still religion should never be labeled on to any other category than religion itself (I've criticised some religion-related jokes for the same reason too).. and as a Muslim you shouldn't even utter such mindless remarks ..
Now if my previous paragraph sounded a bit too serious .. I think there are tons of sports much better than cricket (basketball, anyone? Heck, even pro wrestling seems more exciting to me, especially taking in the fact that it is meant to be entertainment)
Anyway, that was my sadistic opinion on this gaudily mindless-sounding thread, especially the title post ..
Re: cricket is a religion
For crying out loud, will you calm down man? Geez. We have some really sensitive 12 year olds on this forum these days.
Re: cricket is a religion
^ dont worry brother, All faiths have to face backlash. May God have mercy on disillusioned souls. amin ![]()
Talk about religion is incomplete without mention of gods. and our god is Inzimam. So what if he is silly at times… our so called genius folks like Einstein also acted totally insane, many a times.
Lets mention godly inninng of 92 Not out in the seconnd test match. If you believe those were runs then you are wrong, that was a piece of art, crafted by an artisian. Inziman is a master craftsman, an artist par excelence just like Micheal Angelo. He makes curves and edges with bat. His bat is paintbrush. When he is making a marvel, the eleven players are mere spectators in awe …and millions others, watching him perform his magic …
At this point, we the faithful bow our heads and proclaim the greatness of our lord and say…
Hail to Inzimam Almighty, The lord of middle earth.
Re: cricket is a religion
Why do I have to deal with religious extremists all the time!? Good God. I declare you as a ‘cricket mullah’, and no, that phrase is not banned on GS.
Re: cricket is a religion
^0 why 0 can't a jew handle them
Re: cricket is a religion
Choose one path: Islam or cricket.. the blending of the two creates an impression of a “lost” egomaniac who has nothing to do with his life. Code Red if you are trying to shut me up here you go: Inzamam is a religious man, and if he ever read this post of yours and had the opportunity to meet you later he’d have whooped your ass so hard that you’d look much more aesthetic than a six off the ever-overestimated Afridi.
Am I still the only half-arse on gupshup or are there other ppl here too who think that cricket is a plan bull$hit waste of time.. especially watching it
