for all you Torontonians, where do you guys play if at all? do you play hard ball or tape ball? which ground do you use? and do you have any plans for the summer?

I usually play Cricket with cousins and it's usually in some sort of a park or behind this elementary school (once... played Cricket with fam. n friends at Lakeshore). We play with the tape ball and haven't been particular about grounds n all.
Oh yea! Got loadsa plans, inshAllah. Got some other cousins coming over this summer, so it'll be Cricket every afternoon/evening, inshAllah. :)
Btw... I've seen this Cricket ground and there are proper teams playing Cricket there. I believe it's called Kholovad's Cricket Ground and it's at McNicoll... between McCowan and Brimley.
Sounds silly, but I'm thinking of going over at Kholovads and watching some matches this summer, inshAllah.

I played through some crappy team once, it was the under 17s and being 16 i was the oldest player in the team, kicked their butt and it got boring, so didn’t go back again.

then you’ll see that lots of places, i was at faizy’s place a week ago and they were playing cricket in the park too.. unfortunately had a job interview so couldn’t play.. hmm you’re in toronto these days?
well i am playing for 1st division Commonwealth C.C and hoping for the very best. our home ground is Ross Lord 13a :)
its by duffrin street and finch....in north york...we wanna do welll so we can go on to play premier league next yr inshallah and we gota pretty good young team and the good part is its all mixed..its like we have indians, pakistanis, and bangladeshis soo we r gonna have a lot of fun. season starts in may.

the thing is I'm in downtown (near High Park) so a commute to North York does not seem all that appetizing at 6 pm. Either way thanks a bunch for the links, I'll see what to do. I'm going to take a course at UofT, maybe they play there as well.

Sadiyah - yep. there's a ground at mccowan/alton towers (one bloc north of mcnicoll). I live right by it. but dont know if ur talkin abt the same one.
i'm visiting tronto in summer. Probably stay there for two to four weeks with my reletives. Lemme know where you guys at.
