I think Houston Texas has the biggest cricket community in the United States. With 6-7 leagues, it has about 10-15 teams in every league. There are white people, orientals, desis, carribean people, and even hispanic players. I went to california and ny area…and despite having better resources…I think houston is huge. When I first came I couldn’t believe it. But anyone visitin houston area should check out www.houstoncricket.com . they always have matches going on year round, plus tournaments and what not. Not to mention the 15 or so proper cricket grounds scattered around the houston area.
oh and tape ball cricket in the night time is a different affair all together. Any big parking lot in the night time is full of tape ball lovers.
WISEGUY: I Seldom play. I have work in the night time so. But when I do, I sometimes play at the bally total fitness parking lot on 59 and dairyashford.
a crap load of people play at the randall lot at dairashford and westheimer lot. that one has like 4 - 6 teams every friday or sat night.
