The month of July will see to realization many cricket events planned for this summer. July is set to be an action packed month for cricket in America.

The following are some of the noteworthy events scheduled to take place this month:

July 2 – 5
American Pro Cricket Inaugural Season
The league will commence its 2004 season on July 2 at the Richmond Bank Ballpark in Staten Island when the host team New York Storm will take on Florida Thunder.

ICC 2007 World Cup Venue Announcement
The City of Lauderhill and Broward County officials are anxiously waiting to hear news from the ICC. This year’s Independence Day celebration may have more to offer than past years.

July 6 – 11
2004 Americas Cup in Bermuda
Participating teams include Argentina, Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands and USA. Team USA won the 2002 Americas Cup held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

July 9 – 29USA Cricket Academy Participation in Sir Garfield Sobers Tournament in Barbados
After their grand success in Trinidad during the British Gas tournament in April 2004, USA Cricket Academy would be traveling again, this time to participate in the Sir Garfield Sobers (Under 19) tournament.

July 12
ICC 2007 World Cup Games Announcement

According to Chandradath Singh, Executive Director, 2007 World Cup Host Committee, “We intend to play a lot of cricket in Florida. The World Cup announcement will set the stage”. The Committee is aspiring to get six games for the big show.

July 13 – 15
Intercontinental Cup - USA v/s Bermuda in Bermuda

Team USA will need to regroup after their crushing defeat against Canada in Florida. Much will depend on the outcome of the Americas Cup. If USA does well at the Americas Cup, the confidence will certainly carry over onto this game.
