Tom Bass Park 1-4
The four legendary fields. These are most common ones used for almost all the cricket tournaments in Houston Texas. The second field from the right now has flood lights along with bleachers. Its unofficially the official ground of the Houston Cricket League.

Ghaus E Azam Mosque Ground
The builder of the mosque had vision. When he bought this land in northern houston, he knew he would put it to good use! The Ghaus E Azam mosque ground is probably the toughest ground to play in. Its surrounded by pine trees which barely let the wind in..and when the temperature is at 105 degrees you can imagine..

University of Houston Ground
With such a large south asian and carribean population, this HAD to happen. And finally, they built a ground a few minutes south of University of Houston on Cullen road. It is speculated that this will be the premiere spot for cricket in the future with flood lights expected early in 08

Port Arthur Ground
Located 10 minutes from the beach, this ground is located 30 minutes from Houston in Port Arthur. A well maintained ground that is built on sandy grounds…which means a lush and soft grass.

George Bush Field
This is one of the newer additions of the Houston Cricket League. With the huge population explosion in south west of Houston, here is yet another ground at the George Bush Park. Its the only ground I haven’t had the pleasure of playing in. One day perhaps!

Boone Road Field
This park is unique, because it is stack in the middle of an urban area. Its the Boone road park, the darling of old school houston crickers. On top side of this pic is a niebourhood. On its right is a super busy road. underneath is a school and a recreation area, and its left is also a niebourhood. Someone’s pool has a great view of the game!

Stafford Ground
one of the legendary and oldest cricket grounds in texas. Its located in the houston suburb of stafford. Most of the people in Houston have gotten their start from this place.

Re: Cricket Grounds of Houston Texas (impressive)! BIG PICS BEWARE

They need to have way more turf pitches.
Maybe then America will become good??

Re: Cricket Grounds of Houston Texas (impressive)! BIG PICS BEWARE

Na, I think it needs a better structure. Most people that play in houston atleast are from the commonwealth (pak, ind, aus, west ind, bang, etc).

Re: Cricket Grounds of Houston Texas (impressive)! BIG PICS BEWARE

Nice!
So only people interested in playing can come, there's no room for spectators or they can come and stand and watch game in Houston's scorching heat?

Re: Cricket Grounds of Houston Texas (impressive)! BIG PICS BEWARE

yup wise guy u r right every team has one ground which they pay for it. sometimes two teams share a ground. Houston cricket league (HCL) is very very organized.

Re: Cricket Grounds of Houston Texas (impressive)! BIG PICS BEWARE

Half of the grounds don't have anything, the other half does. It depends on the club. If they have more money, they can have benches and shelter. These are older pics too, in think for 2000 so you can't see anything.
