unfortunately pakistan is not one of the 4 contries included but surely there will be some pakistani players involved. all in all i think it should be very entertaining!

I read somewhere PCB is in talks with these boards to get top 2 domestic teams (Sialkot/Lahore?) compete in this tournament. That would be excellent if that happens.
BTW winner gets $5 millions.
Would we expect the same players and the team from Rajasthan Royals and Super Kings? Let's see it.
For this question, "Are we witnessing a split between the haves and have nots?", it's not a split. I think it is more of giving a chance to lesser-known teams to make it to the world stage and get their time in the limelight. Obviously they have worked their way up to the International level and if the domestic teams are getting more recognized, it benefits the countries in more ways than one.
Side Note: Too much emphasis is getting placed in Twenty/20...
well t20 seems to be the most popular format of the game. even white Scottish folks enjoyed watching the IPL!
One thing i cant understand is why is pakistan not included? surely the prospect of an indian and paki team would do wonders for the income levels.
