Karachi;s RLCA
Rashid had a lot to say about team politics, match fixing allegations and often came out with wierd attitude and became the ‘Grinch’ Who stole cricket. and gathered it in his ‘domain’ of RLCA,
He is the loud mouth of ‘no affaires’ are ‘Clean affaires’
He blew whistles like no one ever did, but he never had no backup evidence and assumed things one two many a times. But he is a Good Wicket Keeper.
Rashid is responsible of driving away many good players from the national squad.
Amir Sohail / Saeed Anwar / Ejaz ahmed / Moin Khan / Wasim Akram / Atta ur rehman / Shahid Afridi / Azhar Mahmood all have been affected by the backlash one way or the other.
RLCA has many more moons to go in achieving true ‘thorough breds’ for the deep end of the pond.
Like Abdul Qadir blew his career with PCB over some “fistful of dollars” and a piece lot of land in ‘defence’ housing scheme.
RLCA has done nothing out of the ordinary as yet,
Younis Khan - Is a good player. And has the necessary experience of ‘scoring runs’
He lacks the ‘spunk’ and a clear head to play ‘winning’ cricket. He is good for only departmental cricket. But the National squad needs him right now,
Faisal Iqbal - He did NOT stir any statistical emmotions nor did he deserve to be on the N-Squad. So who’s he?
Mohammad Sami - Is a good bowler with tendency to struggle at times when he is needed the most. He is a mediocre and expensive bowler and no threat to the opposition. He also has no ‘Verity’ in his arsenal, thus he’s a less of a threat.
I have yet to see a ‘Fine Player’ who is technically sound and improvises with the
Situation like a ‘color changing’ lizard and has the Foxy instincts of Miandad or Ejaz Ahamd (Even they were mediocre, but bearable)
Todays Cricket is more of a high tech than ever before. Its important that we understand this the soonest and act upon it.
This is not a ‘Standard’ !
Perhaps a beginning of a ‘Standard’ measuring cup. May be.
