Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

I am not sure if this event is related to your crash.

Do you have a broadband connection? If you have try to play without any network connection.

Assuming you don't have a bootleg copy of the game, your game CD might be getting scrated or you might have a corrupt installation.

You might have a problem with your Video card as well; Try installing DirectX9. Try to run in a lower details mode. Try to run without any program running in the background. Try with the Antivirus closed.

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

thanks for the suggestions.. i will try 2nite

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

tried everything
w/out many bg processes
w/out antivirus
w/out firewall
w/out connecting to iNet.
my source file is fine.... i m using an Iso with Daemon manager, so scratches on CD doesn't apply
i have directx 9 as well...
i increased the size of my temp folders too (donno if it really helps)

must be something with the video card i guess

any other suggestions??

p.s.
its a p4 2.4GHz
512 RAM

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

How did you increase the size of your TEMP folders?

If you have the original CD, try to run directly from it.

Which video card you are using? Are you using the latest video drivers? Game crashing in the middle because of a video card issue does not make sense unless it is crashing while loading some odd texture.

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

the temp folder... i didn't really buy that fix from one of the help groups... i just couldn't c how increasing limits of temporary internet files can help... i increased it anyway as mine was very low. .. here is the SN

i will check for driver updates of the Video card..

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

TEMP & TMP and Temporary Internet Files folders are not the same. Temporary Internet Files folders only holds last accessed pages of Internet Explorer and are not used by any other program.

I don't have full knowledge but to my awareness I do not think that you can manually change the space allocated to a TEMP/TMP folder. Windows manages that automatically and deletes the older files once they are no longer in use.

Re: Cricket 2005 crashes

^yah..

i checked VGA drivers.. that didn't solve the issue...
may be something wrong with the installation files
