I think Gavaskar wore a helmet sometimes in his career, or did he just wear some protection gear in his cap all the time.

Yes, my friend also said that he wore some kind of oval shape protection under his cap but I don't remember him wearing anything.

He never wore a helmet .He just wore some protecting gear inside his cap.
So yes Answer is right.Gavaskar never wore Helmet.If there is anyone else then I dont know.But gavaskar is definitly one.

It's Abdul Qadir, I don't remember him ever wearing a helmet.

The only man I can think of is Sunil Gavaskar like everyone mentioned.

I just can't simply remember that guy ever wearing a helmet.

But now days I think the ICC have made it necessary to wear helmets.
