Do u guys use crib bumpers? I read on Internet. They r not safe n are banned or sonmething
i m going to transition my baby in his crib from traditional swing… So I m worried tht he will get hurt without bumpers…
Is it ok to use bumpers?

I don’t think they r banned but most Dr, midwife will tell u not to use it especially when baby is younger than 6 months due to SIDS

we used to say it baby coat.
crib bumpers, baby bedding, nursery, baby : Target
My mother has bought for my baby like 2nd one. but nw finding bedsheet for it.

and yh in lahore v can get baby quilt readymade or no?

they’re a suffocation hazard for very young babies who cannot roll back if they manage to roll over and press their faces against the bumper. ideally, your crib should just be a fitted crib sheet and the baby- no toys, no blankets. it is also a concern re: SIDS. Health Canada strongly recommends against bumpers in cribs, as does the US Health Dept. we’ve always had a bumper in our crib but my son didn’t sleep in it until he was 1.

***Health Canada does not recommend the use of bumper pads in cribs because they pose an entanglement, entrapment, strangulation, and suffocation hazard to infants.

Background***
Between 1987 and 2001, 23 incidents involving bumper pads were reported to Health Canada, including one strangulation death, one suffocation death, and three near-suffocation occurrences.

  •         The presence of bumper pads in a crib may also be a contributing               factor for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). These products               may reduce the flow of oxygen rich air to the infant in the crib.               Furthermore, proposed theories indicate that the rebreathing of               carbon dioxide plays a role in the occurrence of SIDS.*

I always had one because I didn’t want them to bump their heads.

I always put the babies faced up and in the middle of the crib.

mine was not 4 sided it was on 3 sides and I would just keep an eye on baby

Hm I will buy too..coz he just banged jphis head yesterday.. Poor baby… Will be going to buy today inshallah
