Creme Brulae Pudding Recipe

I really would appreciate a recipe for creme brulae pudding. I love it so much especially the sweet and a unique taste that it possesses.

I have a bunch of cb recipes...it's one of my favorite desserts. I'll post some flavored cb one's later from home.

Here is the basic creme brulee:

Ingredients:

2 cups heavy cream
5 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup or so of light brown sugar.

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Whisk the cream, egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl. Mix it all up until it gets nice and creamy. Pour this mixture into ramekins (those little ceramic dishes). (I.E. Evenly distributed between 4 7-ouncers). Place the ramekins in a baking pan Fill the baking pan with hot water, about halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Place the pan with the ramekins in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour or so. After 45 minutes or so check them every ten minutes. You'll know they're done when you can stick a knife in one and it comes out clean. Remove the ramekins from the baking pan, set them on the counter, and let them cool for 15 minutes or so.

Then put them in the refrigerator and let them chill overnight.

Sprinkle a thin layer of the light brown sugar on the top of each. Make sure it's a THIN layer, but also make sure it completely covers the custard. Now torch it! Or, if you don't have a torch, you can supposedly put them under the broiler for a minute or so. I haven't tried this. [Williams-Sonoma sells the torch for about 25 dollars]. Need to caramelize (melt and let harden) the sugar.

This recipe serves/makes 4.

Is it okay if the mixture is poured into a big ceramic bowl rather than divided into small ones? Will it cook properly?

^^ Yes, it's ok if you put the mixture in one dish instead of the smaller ones. It will cook properly. :)

2 cups heavy cream, 1/2 cup sugah, 5 egg yolks!!!!!! omg like how many calories are in it? a hundred thousand? and for 4 people! if its someone like me i would be taking 2 of the 4 servings. i always eat my dessert and make friends with the person whose plate is still full. :(

Thanks guys for your receipes. But are these the ones which have a really smooth taste and texture which also melt in your mouth?

You know... when you take them out of its container, they wobble wobble wobble like jelly?
