Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

yup i am talking to the bugs :emmy: … Since I live in an area that has lots of greenery and garden, I am having issues with bugs just crawling into my house when they feel like it :hinna:

I have cleaned every nook and corner of my house but when it gets hot out there , something or the other just comes into the house , like spiders are the top intruders right now … and i feel so guilty killing them , but you gotta do what you gotta do :sahar02:

Anyone knows any tips to keep crawlies away? I know neem plant leaves work brilliantly to keep away ants …

I need similar tips please begs

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

just squash them!

Spiders! Hate them! :frowning: We have had so many in the house this past week due to the weather being scorching here in the UK (yep you read it right!).

I just hoover them up! Although they are supposed to be really good because they eat other creepy crawlies. Best thing to do is keep the room clean (hoover every nook and cranny in the room) and keep it well ventilated.

Won’t be long now til we get daddy long legs too sigh :bummer:

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

call your local bug control, you never know they can always sneak in food :/
please take the issue seriously

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

honey , its the weather , like Amor said .. they usually start coming into the homes during this weather  … even pest control peeps cant do much about it …

Amor , I know .. how i dread those freaking long legged ones .. they are worse then mice :x2:

anyone knows any tips out there? :tamater:

Welcome to my world!!

You must have seen how many times i also have posted a topic about this...my house is full of them in summer!! I dnt even open windows coz i freak out...and they aint normal tiny spiders...they r like the big ones which look like tarantuals..ughhh but they are apparently normal house spiders and not dangerous..but r massive!!

theres no way out unfortunately...i ordered from betterware-spider stop spray...i usually spray around windows and the door...it smells of conkers and basically scares the spiders away..

however, once i sprayed it in just one room and went out...when i got home...i reckon all the spiders from that room ran to the other rooms coz the other rooms had loads of creepy crawlies...eughh...im so scared of them that i cant even kill em..so always need my hubby to kill em..he thinks i am mad now lol..

but seriously..keep that on u-spider stop spray and also keep the killing sprays u can buy from tescos or asda...oh and def keep house clean...wherever there is a small dark corner..they will start living there..

i live in a village thats why i reckon i get them..my next house will def have no greenery around it :(

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

That's terrible Tabu, how do you dispose of them?

As I said before, even though spiders are scary they do genuinely serve a purpose in keeping other creepy crawly numbers in control.

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

Tabu :crying: … What a torture

I kill the little ones and feel guilty later on for doing it :snooty: … but all the big ones are my hubby’s responsibility :sahar02: though i get so angry coz i know deep down he doesnt like killing bugs and so only to ward off my requests to kill a certain bug , he keeps saying “kidar hai” “kidar hai” and in that duration the bug escapes :emmy:

Khair , there must be some kind of desi totka for this menace … :hmmm:

AmorAmor-hubby picks the dead remains up with a tissue and direct in the bin and even them im screaming LOL

Chicken biryani-u make me feel hungry lol...my hubby does the same...there was a really big one under the dishwasher and in his 'kidar hai' kidar hai' he lost it...i didnt go in the kitchen until it came back out and was killed lol

they say if u place conkers around the house it keeps them away...

havent heard of a desi totka so far..let me knw if u find one lol

has anyone tried those electronic plugs which have some supersonic technology to ward away the spiders??? I havent used em, but have heard they r not so good

omg i have a phobia of spiders, i cant be near one at all. i also get hubby to kill them(i feel bad for this but the spiders just wont learn their lesson and stay away:( ). i have heard of a spray for window sills, im guessing it may be what you suggested Tabu? dont know of any other way to get rid of them.

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

Lol, we are so much bigger than them but still scared of them. I must admit, if nobody is around to 'save me' (haha!) I usually whip out the hoover and problem solved!

Best thing to do is just pick it up and throw it out of the window (well that's what I tell other people anyway when they offer to remove it for me lol).

Re: Creepy crawlies, you aint welcome !

As a member of Wildlife UK, my advice to you is that you should try to avoid killing/squashing 'em. You can't completely stop spiders from coming in when it's summer and windows are open so try learning about them and probably try holding them with a tissue and throwing them outside.(i know it's difficult but think of them as a living entity rather than a creepy creature).

Isn't it dangerous to spray in the kitchen? We have a serious ant problem. Yesterday they were all over. Apparently a opened box of raisins was left in the masala cabinet, so my fiance took all the masala jars out, sprayed the ant spray on a napkin and wiped the cabinet down, isn't that going to contaminate the food? What about spraying on the walls in the kitchen? I'm scared that we are going to accidentally posion the family. :/

SOunds so familiar... I am screaming the entire time as well LMAO!

What are conkers?

The electronic plugs do not work based on online reviews.
