The merchants would not come after you, the credit card company would for any payments owing and not paid. That being said, if you have notified the credit card company and taken steps to report transactions that you want to pay for, but that they are not charging you for, so long as you can prove that you made the effort to notify them, the onus is on the credit card company. The CC company needs to pay the merchant which they will probably do so. So, now the burden is on the CC company.

I dont when and where I heard this…but I once heard that the merchant can come after you through a collection agency…even after 4 or 6 years…
I certainly don’t want that…
