In Pakistan have you ever met someone (teacher, elder) who encouraged you to be creative? And how did they encourage you? For me it was an English literature teacher who praised my comprehension of Merchant of Venice. I can think of very few incidents where a teacher asked me to experiment or try something or even to describe something in my own words.

Oh hell yeah so many people...
My great Uncle taught me much of what I know with regards to fighting... just feel the calm.
My Grand Mother taught me all about clothes and how to wear and make them and how to fix household things like char-poy beds etc.
My Mother taught me how to cook things...
My Brothers taught me how to make spare bike parts and how to paint and decorate.
My father taught me how to drive and how to do all those fancy turns and spins.
My Kohti school sports master taught me how to dance and perform acrobatics.
