no, no no, dear guppies and guppans,

i meant to ask about how many people to invite, one or two functions, a civil marriage in a court or a religious figure to bless the wedding, decorated home lounge or lawn for the ceremony or a marriage reception hall at hilton or something more expensive, menu for dinner, dress, how expensive all of this, then professional photo shoot or not, any music played by djs ( i cant understand why people sing or want indian movie music on the back ), personal car simply decorated or a rented limosine,
the room in a hotel or at home for the bride and groom to spend their first day together, & why dowry and haq mehr ( we will discuss the implications later)??

Anyway, to answer your question:

Go to Masjid with 2 witnesses, get the Nikah done by Imam.
Do the Walima, that is a must. Invite special friends/relatives.
Pay Haq Mehar, that's a must also.

I believe these are the minimum requirements. Somebody correct me if I am missing something.

if you're not planner-minded...you'd hire a wedding planner...and he'd take care of every little detail...consulting with u about how 'economical' you want it to be.
