I have been thinking of going fulltime after my internship ends with my web development stuff. Having put alot of sites under my belt i think i am ready for the big challenge – doing it fulltime.
Has anyone here had any experience? I am looking for business tips. Your business doesnt’ have to be a web based or even anything to do with computers. Any general good tips to make sure i don’t fall into a hole

Maniac, language for web programming totally depends on the application. There are thing for which i would prefer ASP(.NET) with MS SQL server and then there are those whose budget only allows PHP and MySQL type apps. Throw in Ruby On Rails as well.. billion of options.. :)
So i don't think what language I use matters to the end customer as long as i can show them that it is robust and easy to maintain.
I am thinking of web development startup. I am not going to start my own hosting company, rather outsource that part since I want to concentrate on Web development.

Ansoon, ASP.NET with SQL Server is my prefered choice of programing languages.
I too work in the same capacity as a web developer, though my current job kinda requires me to be a jack of all trades.
I have been toying around with the idea of a few web app's for a while now. Perhaps we can collaborate ? I have also been running a semi successful webhosting business for around 1.5 years now....its semi successful because i get aroudn 100 bucks out of it per month for spending an hour or two per month setting up clients :).

I have been working on alot of tools/applications web based. I learn as I go. I had mentioned here a while ago about PrayerAlerts service. Its ever growing, covers around 2000 cities in North America.
