Well I can only suggest creatine to some one, who has no kiddney probs, liver probs and drinks like 3-4 liter a day. Buiding up muscles need 3 phases (generally). 1 phase where you can use creatine and glutamin. Maybe even a weight gainer (loading phase). 2. phase where you do cardio with high reps and more sets (more than 3 sets a work-out). 3. phase maintaining the muscles. Cardio + many reps many sets + less weight.
More over you can combine glutamine with creatine, but remember that both may have bad effects on your liver. So don't overdose!
