Creamed chicken, mushroom and broccoli pasta

I just made this out of all the leftover meat and veg I had in my fridge, and boy was it hot :tummy:

Bit of butter in the pan, add sliced onions (1 1/2) and fry until onions are tender. Add salt, masale (same masala mix you would add to your handi), tomatoe and garlic puree to taste

Add a bit of water if mixture appears too thick, but refrain from adding too much water as this will come out from the chicken.

Add diced chicken (I used chicken breast, but any other type of chicken should be ok), and coat well.

Cook until chicken is half done, then add sliced mushrooms and small florets of cut up broccoli.

Cook on medium heat until chicken, broccoli and mushroom is done - add more salt/crushed red pepper to taste. Also need to make sure the mixture looks quite thick.

Finally add a carton of double cream and stir for five mins. Add cooked pasta (I used the bow shaped variety) and stir. Add Parmesan cheese if desired.

Serve and thank Sobi for her culinary skills.

ewwwww....

Re: Creamed chicken, mushroom and brocolli pasta

A whole carton of double cream? Explains the size of your arse then.

Re: Creamed chicken, mushroom and brocolli pasta

Well it was shared between 6 people, so it was only 133.3 cals for the cream per portion. Anyway, my diet starts tomorrow :snooty: Plus I had 2 whole portions of veg y’day :snooty:

romz, stick to your daal roti, this is too bland for you

Lezza, be a love and edit the title for me, I’d hate for people to think i can’t spell :halo: its spelt BROCCOLI by the way.

Re: Creamed chicken, mushroom and brocolli pasta

It's okay, we expect it from you.

I'll edit it only cos I take pride in my forum.

^ Shahreen, don’t make a brat out of her. She’ll take it as a compliment thinking at least there is something expected of her.
