People do crazy things for beauty and sometimes the price for beauty is just gross. What is the grossest thing you have eaten or put on your face for the sake of beauty? And did it work?!?
I get grossed out by almost everything but putting on egg white mask for insanely gross. I washed it off right away and the smell stayed with me because I can’t stand the smell of anda. I put burnt ghee and almond in my hair and I could smell that for days and I gagged for three. So gross but it did leave my hair super soft and shiny.
i had put banana paste on my hair and struggled to get the pieces out of my hair but it made my hair super shiny.. once i put pure honey all over my face n in just few secs it burnt my face it became all red (patches) i immediately put tubs of yogurt on my face feewww never touched honey after that,i used to put oil (made by me) ,musturd oil, musturd seeds kasuri methi n lemons n it used to smell like achaar :halo: but it turned my hair healthy … i use make body scrub my myself with oats, fresh milk, powder milk, brown sugar n almond powder it makes the bathroom yuck but smooth n silky body i will share more later
I have the exact same problem!! That's why I can't get a handle on these natural type facials. Buying face masks seems so much easier but they're not as effective. I mixed a small tub of yogurt, honey and lemon for my face and used it once... Haven't been able to get myself to do it again but this thread is inspiring me to get over it. Twice a week is good but it's so hard to get myself to do it.. The smell grosses me out too. I can put things in my hair but its hard on my face..
Blossom that sounds kind of cool, can you share the recipe? Someone needs to make a recipe thread... maybe it will inspire to get over being grossed out lol
wow kool thread, apple blossom i'd like to know that body scrub recipe ... also anyone know any recipie or tip to cure dark underarms n underlegs areas? caused by creams :s

Never gona do that again
The most unsavoury beauty remedy I've ever tried would have to be putting cod liver oil on my face. I read that the vitamins A, D and omega 3 fatty acids in it keep skin looking hydrated and give it a lovely glow. I must say that it does work and there was a visible difference. However, the strong fish smell rather put me off from doing it again. Instead, I've switched to vitamin E oil, which is similar but is odourless.
Sorry, I’ve just read that you said face I’ve also used egg whites on my face too. I didn’t find it too gross, but it hasn’t been a staple in my beauty regime.

Oh you're brave. That would make me cry. I don't even like the taste of fish.
The bravest I've done is apply egg oil to my hair. The oil is extracted by burning yolks. The process leaves a very, very strong smell in the home and applying to your scalp/hair requires courage. I had it...but not for long.
I am a believer for life…you can get the kind that doesn’t smell as strong but still has the high amounts of Vitamin A, D, Omega3’s, etc.
This stuff is amazing…I found a bottle of it in my fridge two days before my dholki (I’d had a facial that day and my face was a getting really red). I slathered a bunch of it all over my face, went to bed and woke up to find completely healed skin. No sign of redness anywhere, glowy, smooth and clean. Even my MUA asked me what I’d been using.
Last night I tried some on the ends of my hair since they’re so dry all the time…woke up to find some superrrr soft hair.
Reha what kind of cod liver oil have u used? Does it really stink bad?
CARLSON Norwegian cod liver oil...there's one that's infused with lemon. That's the one I found at home...my mom bought it because it also helps with arthritis.
