Wohi wohi, maybe I heard it wrong but the dish was basically organ meat. While it tasted good I’d rather nt eat it

I tried deer karahi and let’s just say I’m never gonna look at a deer with the love I used to before tasting its meat.

I had deer/venison once a long, long time ago (bachpan main)…my papa had gone hunting lol…I don’t remember exactly how it tasted but I do remember he and his friends did a bar b q of venison skewers…it was good from what I can recall! LOL!!!

it was good. we are it at a lunch and enjoyed the taste and after we finished the desserts we asked for kebabs recipe and found out it was deer lol. I got the leftovers home !! they were good

Yep I had Chira Bar b q also once at a farm house of my husband’s ICU consultant (when he was working in Lahore at Services hospital)

I think so.Maybe a different kind of bird than batair,but chiray is a small bird for sure.
I have had batair once or twice but didn’t find them to be a big deal,unlike my husband…lol.There is nothing to eat on them..all bone,no meat…

Yep CHIRA the male counterpart of Chirya. Batair I have lots of times as my father loves and they are just like chicken and yes very less meaty so not sufficing the family

Was this at a western restaurant? Because in Pakistan, this is one of the most commonly eaten and liked dishes…goes by the name of katakat. Brain, kidney, testicles, liver, heart, you name it, all combined.
Its quite odd that some of the dishes that we savor in Pakistan make us squeamish when we see them in the west. Like cows feet, tongue, brain, chicken feet, testicles, stomach etc. (Ok, not everyone savors them, but they are delicacies nonetheless)
