There's an african-american cabbie in N.NJ who has a huge collection pf hindi tapes in the cab and plays them continuously. I asked him to stop it (I had to take a phone call) and he told me "don't forget where you come from...you may think you're white but you're just like us to the white man"
It doesn't even show realism anymore, and has no emotion. It's trying to be someone who their not.

Movies of the past, especially from 40's, 50's and 60's were so emotional. It really made you feel for the characters, when now it's just glamour and action.
Remembering some famous movies, Awara, Barsaat, Mother India, Andaaz, Shree 420, Guide, Mughal-E-Azam, etc.
Please go watch 'Do Bigha Zameen' (1953), starring Balraj Sahni. It's a really touchy film about poverty in India, and how urban life is diverse to rural. Now that was true acting!
