Has anybody actually ever found an apartment/condo/house through Craigslist? Is this a good way to find rentals or is it generally a dumping ground?

Most of my friends were able to find places in NY through craigslist and they recommend it to everyone that comes here. So i am sure it works fine and i think it a good way to find a place. But just dont go by the discription that it says in there. You will have to check the place out before you rent it.

if you are looking for a place in and around SM, the best place to look at is www.westsiderentals.com . its a paid site, but its quite good.

Yes, we are definitely going to see westside, but not until May. I was just browsing through Craigslist and wondered if it's reliable as well.
