More info on Whoppix
Whoppix is a stand alone penetration testing live cd based on Knoppix. With the latest tools and exploits, it is a must for every penetration tester and security auditor. Whoppix includes Several exploit archives, such as Securityfocus, Packetstorm, SecurityForest and Milw0rm, as well as a wide variety of updated security tools. The new custom kernel also allows for better WIFI support, for tools such as Aireplay.
hehehe ... what a coincidence, I was chatting with TOfi about the Whoppix Live distro that we used in our Pen-Test class this week and the number of kick ass tools its got. :D
btw; the aircrack thing is quite old now. There was an article on SecurityFocus about 4-5 months ago talking about aircrack and how easy it is to crack the WEP key with. The Sec Focus example cracked the key in about 5 minutes or so. I believe I posted the like to the article on GS ....
But there is a catch to crack the WEP key and not every sheeda gama can do it ... (not special I say but vital for successfully cracking the key)
The new version of Auditor has a lot of the items that Whoppix has. I actually haven't started checking out Whoppix. I downloaded it on Friday.

i am currently on the Whoppix bootable os...
and when i do the "kismet.conf" from shell
nothing comes up... my internet is working and i'm connected wirelessly...
Running the "Kismet" utitity.. says server not found and it just closes... n e ideas?
