So we (my class and I) had a visit to the Garda Technical Bureau (irish garda headquarters) … and OMG!!! Were we thrown back or what!!! I mean seriously… How gross can this world get???
We basically went around to each department in the bureau i.e. fingerprinting, handwriting/documentation examination, forensic photography, arson investigation, CSI, etc etc… but the department that really struck us was the BALLISTICS Department!!! Duuuuuude…
I can’t even express how disgusted I was by some of the stories that they told us about gun crimes… Freakin hundreds of weapons are seized every year in this tiny lil country!! What grossed me out was the fact that each n every weapon present in the Ballistics section had been seized from criminals i.e. each n every weapon had killed people!!!
ITS A HORRIFYING FEELING standing between ALL those firearms and weapons… they weren’t loaded and were deactivated but still!!! He passed a few shotguns and pistols and rifles to us so we could hold them and see what they’re like… and JESUS!!! They are freakin heavy things!!! My arm got pulled down by the weight of one freakin rifle!!! And I was sooo scared to handle them!!! And when other people were looking at it, and if the gun pointed towards me, I would get a minor heart attack every time! I swear I would die if someone came over to me and pointed a loaded gun at me, they wouldn’t even have to shoot!
And he said the firearms u see here are not even the tip of the ice berg.… seriously like how many types of crazy weapons is there in this crazzzyyyy world!!! And how do people not get scared while handling these things!!! Let alone, kill people with it!! ughh… sickk!!!
Here’s a few photos I took of firearms that range from the smallest pistol to heaviest freakin army weapons!! They had grenades and bombs n stuff like that as well but we weren’t allowed to take photos of them. Neither can I show u pics of me holding firearms because.. err.. yeah… I don’t wanna be put in jail!
He showed us one rifle that he said was extreemely extremely easy to make and use… there were ONLY 8 moving parts in that rifle… and normal door knob has 12!!!
He said this is the reason why in places like Africa u see young boys (sometimes even kids) using these rifles because they’re sooo easy to use!
He also said these rifles (because they’re so easy to make) are being made in homes in Afghanistan… 3-4 rifles a day are being manufactured in those caves!
Its a disgusting world… the world of weapons… I would band them all!!! Huma for President
But I am on topic… This is what I want to discuss, the freakiness of these weapons!!
The can be used in war to defeat the enemy but most of the times they’re used for criminal activities… Howwww did the common man even get his hands on these?? Shouldn’t they have been like available to the defence forces only??
great collection they got, and well just as unarmed ppl punch and vicitimise others, some do it with guns or whatever. guns or not it really doesnt make a difference i guess...crime still goes on...
^ Yes it does but not to that extent. One of my friends was walking back home one night from college and he stopped at the ATM to take some cash out and this young boy on a bike came over to him demanding the cash off him… my friend was stupid and refused to give him the money.. the boy said he would stab him he has a knife.. he put his hand in his jacket as though taking the knife out… my friend still refused and said “I’m not giving you na’in!”
The boy then backed off… he didn’t have any weapon
IF, he did, my stupid friend could have gotten killed or would have definitely lost his money!!
Weapons make people “brave”? and lose their minds!!
I don’t think they should be allowed for self-protection reasons either! Keeps knives or baseball bats beside you if ur scared but not guns!!
You know the most disgusting thing is that someone actually sat down and designed these things with all the wrong intentions in their minds!!
He told us about a police office who was killed with a particular rifle, even though he was shot on the shoulder from quite a distance... the reason he died was because the shockwave was so strong that it ruptured his vital organs!!!! He died instantly :(
And someone had designed this rifle with this in mind.....
