Re: CPA
AICPA - I think it is the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Re: CPA
thanks guys. i have seen the website...i didn't recall any cpa books on it...but i will check it again.
Also anyone know how to get into one of the big 4 firms???? I know Faisal bhai tried helping a lot...it is so tough....
Re: CPA
Check eBay. People sell Becker books there for a bit cheap. Also try Craigslist.com in your local area. That may get you a better deal from a local person. Get on the yahoo discussion groups of CPA candidates. People sell their books after passing the exam. As long as there are no huge changes in syllabus, you should be ok.
ps. I can't recall exactly, but I thought you will get back to me with more information on a few things. All firms are at the peak of recruiting season (for new hires who will start fall of '08). You guys should be all over the place in career fairs, meet-the-firms and firm visits right now. Check out different schools in your vicinity to know what is going on.
Re: CPA
Thanks for the info we will try craiglist and ebay.
When we last talked I thought you said to just try career fairs in universities...and to take classes. Right now we have sent his degree's in for an evaluation. And we are waiting for that....we are also applying to different places. If you want me to send you something else I will be glad to do that. Also career fairs at uni's and colleges are those specifically for students or for anyone?? I thought it was for students....plz do keep me updated if u have anything....
Re: CPA
Like Faisal Bhai mentioned all the universities are having their "meet the firms" events. You don't have to be a student but you might have to pay a fee. Start looking on University websites, specifically the Business school calender.
