Hi Guys!
I’m thinking about taking the CPA test.I have a few questions about the requirements.
First, I have Bachelors of Science in Business Administration(BSBA) with specialization in Accounting, with 186 quarter credit hours that are required to graduate.
Before that I took a few prerequisite classes for my English and Math classes at a community college. I also took a few other classes that did not count towards any degree. Can I count those prereq. classes towards my 150 semester hours requirement for the CPA?
I have 186 quarter credit hours (excluding pre reqs), does that equal 124 semester hours? That means I only need 26 more credit hours to complete the requirements for 150. In a another place I read that I need 225 quarter credit hours. Which one is valid? Please clarify.
Thank you.
Re: CPA requirements (United States)
I think the requirements vary from state to state..
Not sure what are quarter hours?
Re: CPA requirements (United States)
Yeah they vary from state to state, but I just want to know about the credit hours that are acceptable. Some universities go by quarters instead
Of semesters so the credit hours are different for semesters than
For quarters
