I didn’t know where else to post this… I’m taking my first part of the CPA exam this coming Saturday and I’m not even half way done studying. Everytime i start reading the book I wanna shut it and come on gs. If anyone has taken the CPA exam or any other exam that’s difficult like the cfa please feel free to give me advice and tell me I shouldn’t be this nervous!

Yeah don't be just nervous...be nerve-wrecking nervous especially if CPA is anywhere close to CFA. :(
But my advice, which I never follow myself, is to practice, practice, practice. All I do is read through the humongous books understanding the theories, but when it comes to applying the concepts...I suck BIG time. And this is what most exams are designed for! So the best bet is to do as many sample questions as possible.

I know CPA is chartered Public Accountant but CPA also known as First Aid Exam.
and…for some reason…CPA is also known as Computer Programmer Analyst

I'm talking about the Chartered Public Accountant exam. I was initially thinking of taking the CFA (in june) and CPA(in april-may) together... the overzealous part in me. Thank god I didn't register for the CFA!

All of you including the thread starter: the last time I checked it was Certified Public Accountant.
And yes, you should be very nervous. It aint peanuts, it might be a better idea to take it seriously and invest some time in it.

Just to add, C is Charter in CA (Chartered Accountancy) and CCA (Chartered Certified Accountancy), their US counterpart is CPA where C becomes Certified.

Lolololol wow! I'm so embarassed. I'm going to take an exam who's name I didn't know... Fully. Hahaha. Thanks a bunch fie clearing that out. Can u imagine walking into an interview for an audit position and saying chartered instead of certified? LOL I keep getting it mixed up with pakistans version,CA, chartered accountant.

Sumo: Well thats why I said perhaps you could take it a bit more seriously. lol. I have been through this and it is life draining. Now that you have decided to take it, I hope you will put in some energy to see it through. And when you apply for an audit job, do put me in as a referenve - so I can tell them how you twisted CPA
