I’ve booked our trip to Cozumel in July, I have a few questions if anyone’s been there during this time of the year:
What’s the weather like other than HOT?
What’s the water temp like?
Anyone been there after the hurricanes?
We were there as part of a cruise stop in January 2005 and we stopped and did a two tank boat dive at Paradise Reef which was amazing, but that was in January and the water was perfect. Of course we had to wear 5mm suits, I’m hoping that in July we can get away with just a 1mm skin.
I went a few years ago in April so I can't answer your specific questions ... however, I do strongly advise you to take strong insect repellant and anti-histamine. I was eaten alive by machars!
Cozumel is super famous for snorkelling. It has some of the world's most beautiful coral reefs. I'm guessing it will be extremely humid and possibly even raining a lot. When I went in April, it was fairly hot ... July will be even hotter.
