**KARACHI: Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek has said that the court orders do not apply to the president and prime minister of the country as their official decisions have constitutional protection and cannot be challenged, *Express News *reported on Saturday.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Sindh High Court, Naek said that running a government is the executive’s job, making a law is the parliament’s job while the court’s job is to ensure the implementation of the laws.
He, however, added that the government respects the Supreme Court and does not want any clash of institutions.

If this is really and truly an Islamic country, then immunity should be an alien word to all and sundry. They should first expunge 'Islamic' from the official name of the country and then go about their business of dishing out immunity.

Re: Court orders do not apply to president, PM: Law minister

A country doesn't have to be 'Islamic' for president/PM to be under the law.
