Court issues arrest warrants for Malik Riaz, son**
ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Corruption court has issued arrest warrants for business tycoon Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz in a 1,400 Canal land scam, Express News reported on Tuesday.
Special Judge Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal ordered the anti-corruption department to arrest the two respondents and present them before the court on July 23.
Other respondents in the case also appeared before the anti-corruption court.
Last month, the Supreme Court of Pakistan had taken a suo motu notice against chief justice’s son Dr Arsalan Iftikhar and Riaz, following media reports that Iftikhar had received between Rs300 and Rs400 million from the businessman to influence judicial proceedings.

The court had sent him a contempt of court notice over the press conference. On Monday, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had also issued fresh notices to Riaz to appear before investigators probing the Arsalan-Riaz case.
He should hold another press conference or buy another interview on some channels to reveal something against the judge who issued the warrant as well as the NAB.
Last week, in his capacity as the President of Pakistan, Asif Zardari pardoned a personal guard of Malik Riaz, a convicted murderer who had confessed his crime before a lower court and was awarded 33 years of rigorous imprisonment for it. Zardari used the President’s power to have mercy on the man, while his appeal is still pending before the High Court…

thumbs up for the court.:k:
However, I dont think MR is left with alot of options. isn’t his name in Exit control list? he cant really run away to Dubai/London. He will try same old tactics to defame and try to fabricate stories against CJ. but he should know that, nobody is going to buy his fake stories anymore. so har he hasnt really provided any proof against CJ!
