COURSE OF URDU LANGUAGE

COURSE OF URDU LANGUAGE.

Urdu is not my mother tong , but Pushto , However , Urdu is our National Language so we understand/speak this language well.

Urdu was Medium of Instruction till My Secondary School and there were English Medium Schools also , where Urdu was/is a subject like English is/Was in Urdu Medium schools.

I think the Language of Instruction should always be Urdu in Pakistan and English should also not ignored.

But teaching Islamyat , Pakistan Studies , Science in Junior Levels , Geopgraphy at Junior Levels SEEMS VERY VERY STUPID.

Our system Confuses a kid at his/her Junior Levels when His/Her Parants will send him/her for Quran to Qari Saab , Then in School he will be having Urdu and English.

And Most Subjects in English… in a Medium which he/she has to learn first.
The Importance of English could NOT be ignored … but Knowledge , awarness is ALWAYS PRIOR.

in pakistan educational institutes are in this STUPID competion , that our Medium of instruction is ENGLISH.

I was surprised when my CLASS FELLOWER a Native Urdu Speaker could not write in URDU.

Similarly, it is very strange FOR ME MYSELF , THAT I CANNOT EXPRESS WELL IN PUSHTHO WRITTING.

Re: COURSE OF URDU LANGUAGE

I do not understand your point.
Urdu is important. English is also important. Need to understand Quran too.

'Knowledge and awareness is always PRIOR' -- Our (Muslims in South Asia) history, literature, philosophy and to some extent science is mostly in Persian. We will need to learn that. Religious studies are mostly rooted in Arabic. Should learn that. Most of modern knowledge and science is in English, should be capable of understanding and communicating in that Language. Urdu, being our national language, should also be taught. Pushto, Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluchi, etc. respectively being local medium of exchange should be learned as well.

You are right that its about time we fix our priorities and act accordingly in a unified system. Otherwise, as you said, it would all be confusion.
