So i was in my Humanities class, learning about the renaissance, and boring as it was the teacher kept talking and talking.
She was talking about Thomas Hobbe’s theory on how every man is an enemy every other man in the state of nature.
Now, so brings in an example on shia and sunni insurgency in Iraq and how the FBI had known before hand that there were insurgents in iraq and that rebellion will occur in civil war when US removes saddam.
So as this discussion was going on a girl behind me put up her hand. Teacher selected her.
And the girl stood up.
In front of 400 people she openly let out everything

She said that Shia’s and Sunni’s are not fighting each other in iraq. In Iraq no one cares if you’re a sunni or shia. Everyone is looked upon as a muslim, In islam the only division between shia and sunni relates POLTICALLY. She said this has all been made up by the west, to feed you wrong information, to create further divisions.
She said that her dad is a sunni, and mom shia. and they live in peace.
There is NEVER a discussion about hatred between either sect in Iraq.
All this was kinda suprising as the lecture hall went into a pin drop silence.
Only then did people realize, and clap for her.
