Well we are talking about identity of pakistan in foreign land arent we? So what western media shows is going to become the identity of pakistan.

What Malala is doing is international work, what edhi sahab is doing is domestic work so ofcourse malala will get more press.

So basically what the Western Press shows is acceptable for a domestic identity? And no we aren’t talking about the identity in a foreign land. That is obvious from Merkel’s statement.

Thats entirely a different debate. And it is not about domestic identity but foreign identity.

If you go down the same road then you have to factor in what pakistani press and gul, zaid types say about west is also not acceptable and totally false. but i digress, Merkel is not supposed to know who edhi, IK, PAt etc are, she knows about a nobel Laurette from pakistan and that is an honor.

What do you think or feel when a white person tells Pakistanis what our identity should be defined as?

Regardless of her skin color and nationality, I perceive what Angela Merkel stated as her personal view and not necessarily a fact set in stone. I would feel the same way if anyone else said the same thing, whether or not they were white and/or Pakistani. If she means to say that to her, Malala represents the “survival” and “educational advancement” of Pakistan, then I agree with her. Endurance and education are obviously positive characteristics for any country, as well as factors that should not be taken for granted.
