I quote I have remembered for over a decade now. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the ability to overcome it.

Courage is something you can be taught or trained into.** Military personnel** are usually your average folk but the training they go throw and their abilities they are provided help them do things most average people will balk at. Been through a few fire fights and protecting someone on a set of subway tracks is not that difficult.

But there are some that are better at their job than others. Some who are crazier than the rest.
