i said the non believers will burn in hell...are you a non believer? or a muslim? please make up ur mind confusedbeti

I guess I am a muslim who believes one has to follow what one feels is right. I don't feel slinging mud at other religions is right, I don't think slaughtering people is right and neither do I find any wrong in muslim people loving jews or hindus or whatever. For me as long as I hurt someone or cause someone pain, I have committed a sin(Gunaah), and if I am of any help to anyone or if I have made someone else happy, I have gained Sawaab.
As a non-believer (going to hell) you my dear chadbeti, have a direct access to heaven, if here is such a thing. And your views are exemplary. I cannot think of a god that would be exclusionary or fear mongering. :k:

So before I violate rules number 1,2 or 43rd...let me ask, do you no think that saying "all non-believers are going to hell" is a rude comment and does it violate any GS rules. Further more, is it ok for me to say that people who say that would come back as a dog or as a pig.

I assume you are talking to me. If you are not, then I apologize. In any case, if you read rule #3 carefully, it solicits help from non-muslim members to inform us if a certain comment (or comments) hurt their religious beliefs. As you may have noticed, in the last few weeks, I have allowed all of you to present your points of view without much interference and censor. And that is the way it should be. I think, for the most part, all members are resposible and mature enough to carry out intelligent discussions. Feel free to let me know if any comments are deemed religiously offensive and I will be glad to review those. My aim is to provide an opportunity for each of you to have a free flow of thoughts and opinions on religious issues without coming down very hard by editing and deleting left, right and center.

so whatever Quran says does not matter if it does not go along with ur feelings? Sunnat of Prophet (pbuh) means nothing if it goes against your feelings? chandbeti we are the people of Allah..we must do what Allah tells us to do...if we don't then are we really muslims...can we call ourselves muslims? we are only humans..we can make mistakes..we can have wrong feelings but you know Allah does not make mistakes...Allah's Prophet (pbuh) did not make any mistake..should we not be following them?
Islam means peace...Osama bin laden and saddam hussain don't represent Islam..know the real Islam

If doing what is right and being a good human being makes me a non believer in your eyes, so be it. I don't think Allah(god,bhagwan...whatever one calls the Almighty) wud disapprove of me(or anyone like me) qualifying as a good human being.
Did I ever say Islam teaches hate mongering? I know Islam and all other religions preach love and peace. It is just that some people tarnish the name of their respective religions by stooping to the levels like that of man slaughtering, name calling etc. Anyone involved in such acts isn't a human being at all, let alone a muslim or a hindu or a christian..etc.

so how is a muslim marrying a non-muslim not peaceful?
nobody said its not peaceful but you tend to face a lot more problems compared to a marriage where both the parties belong to the same religion. Its trendy nowadays to just be more liberal than anybody and act as nothing really matters but I think as you mature and age you realize that religions arent all that bad and things would have been really worse had it not been for religions. Sure, being a better human could be more important than following your own religion for you but whoever told them that islam is leading you the other way !! for that matter i dont think ANY religion teaches you that.. if you closely look at the religion islam I dont think you will ever have to go against it to be a better person and to create a better society to live in.. And to end it all whats NOT allowed in your religion is NOT allowed at all and just because you feel its the right thing to do doesnt mean that it is.. After all you are not the first person with brains to be alive and definitely not the last.. far greater ppl have followed the religion and even more will.. just to put things in perspective.. :)

Yes, I know I am no gr8 scholar or a preacher, and I know none of the religions are designed to create bad human beings. But, is it a bad thing to respect all religions and to love all of the humanity? Is it a bad thing to wish good of all in this world? If people like Sheraz think they are true muslims and Islam is a peaceful religion(no sarcasm), why do they have to insult other religions and a holy union of two human beings(inter caste/religion marriage)?
If spreading love, and refraining from hurting others makes me a good human being, then I think I havn't failed the purpose of my religion...and thus I make a good muslim or hindu or whatever.

muslim girls marrying hindus and jews? what is this world coming to?
You know what Sheraz Ct - I wouldn't have replied to your post If you had not used 'MUSLIM GIRLS' . So it is okay for a Muslim BOY to marry a Jew or hindu girl, but not okay for a Muslim girl to do so.
I think somwhere inside you have some kind of superiority(or inferiroty) complex and you keep thinking how can a muslim girl be Screwed by a Hindu or a Jew boy and it makes you feel very uncomfortable and depressed.
At the same time you feel some kind of proud when you see a Muslim guy marrying a Hindu Girl and the thought of a Muslim screwing a Hindu/Jew Girl gives you some kind of internal pleasure.
It's okay as long as you and your friends feel that way but it's really pathetic to bring Allah into all this and say Allah doesn't allow this or it's unislamic.
MODS :- Pleas dont delete this post, I am really disgusted at the way this thread has been discussed. This is the view of many people and such people are there in both the religions Hinduism as well as Islam.

It's not a bad thing at all. Infact it is the best thing a human being can acquire from any religion. Allah is the Only one who can and will decide If you are a good muslim or not.
This is the sole reason I stay away from religion forums where people keep talking about what is Islamic and what is not.
People I am going to watch a hollywood movie now - Is it allowed in Islam ??
I dont know , why so much of hue and cry about making people follow the restrictions imposed by religion. In my opinion religion is synonym of faith and faith comes from inside always sitting at the top of inner feeling and choice. Religion is defined for person as the person thinks it should be. And never ever even two people on this globe can have *exactly * same faith and set of beliefs. Why cant we leave people to follow their faiths and make their decision about their life partner based on their choice , not going by some predefined rules those are imposed on us, as we born in some family associated with some faith?

Islam doesn't permit for Mulsim women to marry non-muslims....btw, by non-mulsims i mean only Ahl-e-Kitaab...no hindus or communists...
however, men are allowed to marry non-muslims (ahl-e-kitaab) but it is preferred that they convert them to muslim first...
