Countdown to Ramazan and Eid.

This year in North America , Ramazan are supposed to start from September 1st, 2008.
In my childhood , I remember the preparation for Ramazan would start long before they were supposed to start and then same thing with Eid. I live in USA now where Ramazan is not in the air , but in Pakistan you will see that the shop keepers will start to stock and display stuff for Ramazan and Eid which will get you in that festive mode and will remind you that it is that time of the year again.
I used to look forward to enjoy special Iftri and then special sahri foods.
Ahhhhhhhhhh I miss those days.

What do you say ?

P.S: TLK has shared a very good tip for smooth sailing in Ramazan. Please share any tips or tricks for preparation or for getting through this test mandated by Allah( SWT) smoothly.

^ Don't you miss...

"RoZery Daro Allah Key Peyaroo SehRhii Ka Time Khatam HoNey Main 10 Min Reh GaEy Hain"

I have already started cutting down on coffee and its day one and it sucks :bummer: I am SO TEMPTED to drink another cup :bummer:

Fatbalongri,

Itni tryiyaan na maro, itna easy nahi hai. Its not like you will get use to it by not drinking. lol

I stopped drinking coffee for 3 or 4 months and now started again... very hard to give up when thats the only thing you have time for in the morning.

Me too dude!!

I tell you I love being Muslim but Rozai really really test me.
:frowning: astagfirallah …

Re: Contdown to Ramazan and Eid.

Ramzan always comes in easy for me .. I am little anxious but form Roza #1, its all smooth and easy .. alhamdulillah ..

I drink one cup of coffee but it has to be good cofee. I Ramazn, I drink that in sehri. After Sehri and Fajr, I lie down again for one hour or so and then go to work ..

that coffee + nap takes care of and heavy head feeling for the rest of the day

TLK , That is a good tip for some .
Thanks for sharing.
I will edit my post to ask other to share some more tips and tricks.

Re: Contdown to Ramazan and Eid.

I hate that heavy head naucious feeling!

Re: Contdown to Ramazan and Eid.

Tis not “Ramazan”, tis “Ramzan” or “Ramadan” :naraz:

wo he , wo he, baat samajh aa ga-e na ?

Re: Countdown to Ramazan and Eid.

Re: Countdown to Ramazan and Eid.

OhMyy..It’s getting longer and longer :frowning:

Ramzan really do test me. :bummer:

May Allah (swt) help us and give us the ability to be able to keep all our fasts. =)

One thing I love about Ramzan is reading taraweeh. It’s the one time me and my mum just sit up and pray the whole night.

But seriously, in the morning afterwards I will be as tired as mad…which leads to me coming home and sleeping until Iftaari. Which I guess is a good thing. :hmmm:

I wish I was in Pakistan for Ramzan Shareef. :frowning:

I would rather go to work late and stay late than to leave right after Sehri .. I dont like doing that

Re: Countdown to Ramazan and Eid.

And the dah bhale and the jalebiyan in aftari..and oh yes the** paaon ka kutta howi fruit** chat:hehe:
