My pleasure. One thing which will affect him and that is the onset of hypo. This is where the sugar levels in your body drop rapidly and once that happens you feel very weak and lethargic. As soon as hypo comes on he will need to eat immediately. the best thing is to drink a can of coke and than eat. Nothing gets your sugar racing up than a can of coke. Hypo is a dangerous situation and if let untreated can be very dangerous. Dont wish to scare you but that is one aspect which you and your husband need to be aware of. Keep coke in the house and also in the car and if he feels hypo coming on while driving ask him to stop the car and drink coke immediately Also keep glucose tablets with him all the time and take them as soon as hypo happens. In the early days I could not tell when hypo was setting in but now I can tell just as it is starting so I take immediate action.
