Could this be worn as formal wear or it is too bridal?

I’ve been looking for an outfit in this exact colour combination (cream/champagne with a touch of pink) for a (Pakistani) friend’s wedding and quite like this outfit. I love the colour combination and the sleek silhouette. I came across this outfit in a thread about bridal couture week, though, so I was curious as to whether it looked too bridal or if it could be adjusted to work as formal wear. Do you guys think it could it be pulled off as formal wear and worn to a wedding?

Formal wear is fine, though tone down the Kama a bit

^ Agree. I would eliminate entirely, or make much smaller, the kaam at the bottom and on the vertical pink strips running down the front- maybe those can be narrower and not so thick. I think its got enough going on at the top to be a lovely formal dress. Keep your bottom and dupatta plain.

I don't usually like outfits with too much kaam, but this is so pretty.

This is a great idea. I'm not keen on the wide pink kaam at the bottom. I think it would be perfect if it was made much smaller. I'm thinking the vertical pink stripes running down the front could be made a bit narrower and have the kaam at the bottom be the same width as those.

I agree about keeping the bottom and dupatta super plain since it has loads going on at the top. I also plan to wear minimal jewellery (maybe just earrings and some light bracelets) as it is a daytime wedding.
