**no one can ask for the password…YES, it is ‘Deception’ … may be these emails were mass-generated by some e-thief who wants to steal your personal info.

i would never give such details for a G-Mail account…period!**

Re: Could this be Fraud?

Updates are just pop-up in our mailbox. I think this is a fraud case.

Re: Could this be Fraud?

There is also a scam going on where someone would call and tell you that they’ve been monitoring all the computers and it has come out that your computer is infected. they would make you look in the eventvwr and there’s always errors or warnings there. Then they would ask you to find all the *.inf files, which they claim are infected files. As soon as you have bought their story they ask you to go to a site and install a remote desktop software and boom they are in your computer. Then they can hold you hostage and you basically have to give them your first born.

There was a video floating around. I’ll see if i can find it and post it.

Re: Could this be Fraud?

Its not hard to tell. Just look at the first email, will Google send emails from mail.com domain?
