I remember reading all of the threads here on whether a woman should marry a younger man and most people were all for it citing compatibility over age. Apparently, marrying a younger man is not good for a woman’s health - women who marry men 7-9 years younger increase their mortality risk by 20%.
Here’s the article:
So ladies, before hooking up with your boy-toy - remember, it could kill you :hinna:

Much older husbands don’t help a woman, either, said Drefahl, who performed the analysis for the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Germany.
Although not many hit the mark, a woman’s best choice is to marry a man of exactly the same age: Even an older man shortens a woman’s life somewhat.

Anyways, in all seriousness, this is a demographical research done on only 1 population. It isn't even cross-cultural. It doesn't say anything about any previous marriages of either spouses, the health condition before and after marriage, earnings, social status etc etc etc. Meh, I'll take this research with a grain of salt.
I agree with you. I generally take most studies with a grain of salt. I find most stats can be presented in a manner that supports the researcher’s hypothesis and will then shortly after be disproven by another researcher.
I just wanted a change of pace from the “best/worst” mirror threads - they’re getting a littled tired and there’s no mirch masala in them
