Bengali as in Indian Bengal or Bangladesh ?
It’s a common thing in morrocan wedding, the bride changes at least 3 joras on the wedding day. Make sure there’s a seperate room where you can easily change yourself without being noticed(by that I mean every single guest mustn’t know abt it, make it appear as a surprise) if you have a MUA with you then it’s the best option.

For the sari you can either use the pallu or a seperate dupatta or even a veil. For the colours chose something totally different from your lehnga.

I think the game plan is to wear it for the first bit during the Nikkah, then change and re-enter in my lehnga. I don’t don’t really want to wear a sari for the “fun” bit (dancing, cake cutting, etc) because I don’t know how to move in a sari and I want to be comfortable. I may have to speak to my MUA friend to see if she can help out because that would make my life a lot easier.
