Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
To start with, lets name AT LEAST ONE SUCH LEADER ..... :)
Let people of Pakistan decide their own destiny by picking their leaders through free and fair democratic process. If not we will continue to go from crisis to crisis, and at the end we may unravel as a nation.
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
yea NS made some stupid mistakes. BB has a long list of issues.
but Mush & Shaukat Aziz are worst.
we have civil war going on, security, food inflation, attacks on army - what human indicators are you talking about.....
where are the terrorists - I don't see anyone behind the bars. so what is govt's success ratio? they couldn't even catch a single terrorist. And how can they - when Muthidda Quami Murderers are the partners.
Ever heard of "baghal mein churi, munh mein raam raam".
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
I have never seen people complaining about food like they're doing now-a-days. You ask them a question about cricket, and you'll get an answer on food.
as far as human development indicators are concerned- any new govt hospital, any new health policy, any policy about clean water, new dams, women rights????? so what has this govt done so far...
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
fortunately, I started reading newspapers & magazines when i was in grade 5-6. I used to listen to BBC radio at that time. People used to complain at that time too but its heartbreaking now.
yea Karachi was in a bad shape in 80s and 90s. Now history is repeating itself. And this time, its all over the country...
well just reading is not enough - observation is imp too. I don't only go for the articles. I see the stuff happening. I don't rely on GEO etc.
I like to see the results - the implementation. which is disappointing.
I would agree with the policy when i'll see stable pricing, new hospitals, new wells, new dams etc etc.
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
I think only people clapping for Mushrrafs rule are the one who have directly benefited from his Milibus Inc. Sadly, that is not vast majority of the people. In fact, vast majority can't even afford atta. That pretty much highlights Mushrraf achievements for last 8 years. So, the question is, can we afford him and his corrupt corporate mafia for another 5 years?
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
do we have any data that shows the number of new clinics/hospitals per city, district or per province. Do we have any data that shows the number of hired nurses & doctors (other than the regular hires) per province. what did govt do to make the existing hospitals/clinics better? and where are these located?
How many free vaccines were provided (other than polio because polio vaccine is provided by UN).
how many new schools are opened and in which area. How many closed schools are reopned?
what measures are taken to convince the parents that girls must go to the school?
just saying that we have achieved such & such figures, doesn't really help.
Re: Costs of keeping Musharraf for another 5 years
wow... that is something.
Can you provide independent figures/comparison for the last two decades to support your argument? The only improvement I have seen that Pakistan has moved to top in corruption, un-employment, lawlessness (Butchers are partners to Mush's Govt) and inflation in last seven years. What CB is saying is actual fact. I agree with CB.
