how much would a decent wedding cost in Pakistan in Rawalpindi nothing too fancy something pretty average to below average with say around 200-300 guests maybe even less?

weddings are quite expensive these days if you are just looking at hall with food etc then about 4lakh, but if you are talking dress, gold jewellery hall and the whole shabam you are looking at 30 to 50lakh

A wedding is only as expensive as you make it to be. Whether in Pakistan, the US, England, doesnt matter.
Your choices on which decor to go with, what kind of dress you want ("designer" or not), how much jewelry you wear, etc etc. It all depends on you.
I've been to wedding wear it cost around 3,000, and others where they cost 50,000. So, there is never a set number.
My friend who is getting married next month originally bought a lengha from Pakistan for about 2,500, when it came, she didnt like it, and went shopping. Then she liked a lengha that was 700 at a local store, and was perfectly happy with it and was going to buy it but waited. She later went shopping to another store where they sold designer stuff and liked a 3,500 lengha better and bought it on the spot.
She also did not want to hire a wedding planner because she didnt want to spend the money and wanted to do everything on her own, but ended up booking one anyway, which cost 5,000.
So, with those changes alone, she got set back by 11,000. Whereas she could have only spent 2,500 in comparison if she stuck with the original dress. OR, set back by 3,200 if she bought that 700 dress too.
And that's just two aspects of the wedding stuff she needs, besides everyhing else she would need to buy/book/hire.
Thats a very big difference when pricing out all costs for wedding stuff. That 11,000 could have easily covered a photographer, dj, food, decor, for example. But now, she just made her wedding unnecessairy more expensive, because of her choices. Not because "that's how much weddings cost these days"

Hi,
The simplest of weddings would cost around PKR400,000 for the 200-300 number of guests. A simple way of calculating is ,multiply the per head cost PKR560-800 into number of guests. You will get a ballpark figure.
