Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

Am I the only geeky girl here who reads Time and Scientific American?

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

^Nah. I read Time too and I quite like it.

Cosmo and the likes are trashy/garbage. The last magazine I read was Glamour, which was back in July. I was flying and didn’t have time to pack anything, so bought Time and Glamour at the terminal - only cuz nicole kidman was on the cover and I wanted to read her interview

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

It's rubbish...a lot of these mags r...only sometimes i look at Vogue n stuff for the latest fashion pics...but u can get those online or on tv, so i don't bother with them so much now as i did in my teens...Time is ok, and there's other good ones too...i like reading the Parenting ones hehe, i duno y...esp. when i was working with kids...n yes i've heard the mens mags r better...besides, i don't wanna read about their stupid ideas of how sex shud be and their so-called advice...and yes, i think it's inappropriate for young girls...it just gets them more excited about having sex, and basically promotes it.

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

:hehe: how many times did u read it eh?

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

Amen sister. After you’ve read it once or twice, you have read a lifetime worth of Cosmo. Too repetitive.

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

 quite a few times. but u dont have to buy the magazine to know the repetitiveness of the content…just look at the cover and the features listed on it…same old stuff again and again.

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

PCG Time is my fav magazine, PC and there was macleans and few others. I neva read cosmo, proly I was never interested in knowing why and how they do sex (you know that u will end up knowing one day why not find it out urself, instead of reading ppl's bull**** to screw ur mind up). I loved extending my knowledge in diff geeky areas, and not a lot of ppl go that far. Now I like seeing bridal magazines, thats just till my rukhsati I guess. :D

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

I used to read Seventeen, Sassy and YM Magazine when I was in highschool. One day we had to do a project about objectification of women in advertising. The first magazine I picked up was Cosmo. That was back in the day of the Guess Ads with Anna nicole Smith and Claudia Schiffer looking like Bardot. But then I actually read an article. Everything was about 'your man', 'how to get a man', 'do you know your man', ' how to drive a man wild'. If this was the Helen Gerly Brown, liberated women's magazine then why were they so focused on men? If it's a magazine for a modern woman then it's pretty backwards to be so obsessed about men and sex.

I went back to Sassy pretty fast.

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

I used to get Cosmo, like mabye 10 years ago, had a 1-2 year subscription. Then i discovered that they focused on a sex story monthy that they basically rehashed the same story on a four month cycle..it was stupid.

I don't think many of other similiar women's mags are difft.

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

I read it and found it to be very stupid, I would rather read through Al-Jummah

Re: Cosmopolitan Magazine

i bought a cosmo show bag from the Melbourne show a long time ago.. cus i wanted the CK eternity perfyme

i dont recall reading cosmo otherwise, unless it was by accident ofcourse
