The only Pakistani cosmetic brand that I’m aware of is Luscious Cosmetics. The products for this cosmetic line must be manufactured in Pakistan if they are able to sell them at affordable prices in Pakistan. Or are they manufactured outside of Pakistan?
The reason I’m asking is because I’m really curious about cosmetic liscencing and regulations in Pakistan. Can anybody start any cosmetics/toiletries brand and sell them without any liscence?
The Luscious Cosmetics website does not provide any information on the ingredients they use and they’re probably not written on the packaging either? So which authority in Pakistan is responsible for regulating cosmetics/toiletries? Or are they not regulated like medicines are?
And I’m sure cosmetics and toiletries are not regulated like medicines. Perhaps they are not regulated at all. My guess is, you just need to register a company and trademark and the rest of the procedure is just like it is for any other type of business.
Yup I was looking at the right website.... I was thinking perhaps the Ministry of Health takes care of liscencing these products but their website doesn't say anything about cosmetics....
Ok so lets say cosmetics are not regulated in Pakistan and you don't need a liscence but does anyone know where they are manufactured? Do brands like Luscious Cosmetics have their own factories/labs/machinery? Or do they make em via contract manufacturers in Pakistan?
I don't think the company would ever share this information with anyone. I just wanted to know about the regulations etc but i'll keep googling and I might get in touch with someone.
I've been using Luscious Cosmetics products since it was launched some years ago. I live in the UK and have met the owner a number of times. Luscious Cosmetics is manufactured in US and Japan, and their packaging always mentions the ingredients etc. The products are also FDA and EEC registered because Luscious is stocking in the EU (the world's strictest cosmetic regulations are in the EU) so I had asked her about it.
batgirl is right ,although dmgm and diana of london is of taiwan an china made.
all the products are third party manufactured as stageline is a third party product that is originally made by the name of laukrom in spain.so as allure is naturokosmetick by martina gabhardtz natural skin care company. In pakistan there is PMDC that authroize liscencing.also you have to own proper lab and factories and plants to do so.I know all these cause i am in this buisness.
yup I had heard so much about this luscious stuff and when i went to pakistan , I checked the products , horrible quality .. I didnt like any of them …
if you MUST buy from paksitan, i would suggest etude and art deco. both of good quality..... see sometimes the product isnt half bad but the environment they are kept in is horrible... heat, dust, the constant fluctuation between hot and cold due to load shedding really destroys the product.
yep theyre all CHINA MADE! and lucious, atiqa odho, christine their all rubbish! horrible quality. the only make product i get from pakistan is the medora's nail polishes, they are sooooooo nice:) love them :D

i know .... but you just never know with colors... everything is dependant on your laptop's settings... what looks red to me may look like pink to you and the real prodcut could be maroon!
i would never buy make up online.. unless its something like eyeliner or mascara... foundations blush etc.. only if i know what the real color looks like on me. for that i would have to try it on first.
but ya... good way to avoid the doubts of buying from a shop in pakistan... buy online.
