Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

Re: Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

Sis, I'm just telling you what Rasulullah SAW said. I don't consider it to be making things complicated.

Re: Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

but there wasnt any cosmetic surgery in Huzoor (PBUH) time :(

Re: Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

Actually, Rasulullah SAW allowed a Companion (RA) who had his nose damaged in a war to be fixed. But, of course, that falls within permissible reasons.

Re: Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

Also, it's not that big of a deal. We claim to be Muslims and we have such a hard time letting go off little things. Shaytaan takes a hold of us really well.

We claim to love Allah and His Messenger SAW but when it comes to obeying them, we can come up with a wide variety of excuses, esp. when Allah has said in the Quran: “The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allaah (His Words, the Qur’aan) and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), to judge between them, is that they say: “We hear and we obey.” And such are the successful (who will live forever in Paradise)”

It's as simple as that. When Allah and His Messenger SAW have said something, then all we have to do is obey. We know really well that they are not wrong and they will never command us to do anything harmful. Yet, we still question it. I'm not blaming you, but it's just Muslims at large, including myself.

Re: Cosmetic Surgery, would you consider it?

For anyone wanting actual detailed rulings (and no, it's nowhere near as simple as 'only for medical reasons') do a search in this forum.. ALL the info will come up :) No need to take this thread off on another tangent..

In all honesty, I've been curious about what I'd look like with lip fillers!
