This is the first time for me to know that one is required to rest on left buttock before going to sajda. The salafies do rest on left buttock AFTER sajda and BEFORE getting up in first and third rakat. BTW its quite an uncomfortable position.
what BarbieCue mentioned in her first sentence was for women.. Not for men.
and BCue u can eaisly go straight to sajdah without sitting down first by resting your body weight on your knees (butt up), but this postion is required for Men
Psyah bhai which way is followed by hanfi fiqah for doing sajdah(women)?
I was corrected by an aalima(hanfi) and later the people I asked were also hanfi..but coming here Im kinda confused now:konfused:

I do that. I don't sit just put wt on knees and go into sajdah. Wait so it that for men or women?
omg… I had the nerve to correct my SIL after maghrib namaz last night…
my niece (her royal nosey-ness) overheard, although I was being very discreet and she joined in to correct her own mother.
bhabhi is lovely…she giggled and took it well…I think my niece had corrected her before…
Note points d) and e) demonstrate the positions already talked about. The only way to go straight to sujood is to have the knees on the ground and the back in the air, the hanafi way for women requires the thighs to be touching the lower legs, during the sajdah.
