This relates to visiting non-Islamic websites that have information on Islam. However it could relate to your religion as well (if you are non-muslim and visiting islamic websites for example).
I have been visiting some websites recently and found that they have terribly misquoted from the Qur’an and other sources. I have now taken the initiative to write to the editors of the sites and offer my assistance in giving them correct quotes, or have asked them to look them up and correctly quote the data because it has been misquoted.
In the past I would read articles for example in National Geographic magazine that mentioned what were considered to be elements of Islam, and it was very obvious that it was not the case. However I never wrote to the editors, and I feel guilty to this day for not doing so.
Therefore I will try to do this whenever I see this going on, because if I see a misreprentation or quote, I feel its my duty to inform others, otherwise others will read the information and think it to be true.
Whats the best way to go about this? Have you done this? I think if more people did this, there would be a lot less misunderstanding about Islam(or any other belief for that matter).
This goes for everyone of course, when your beliefs are misrepresented.
P.S. This wasnt another chance for me to show-off (though I am guilty of it every now and then) but I’d really like to see others get involved in writing to papers, magazines, and websites when they see such things. Thanks.

CH she is only correcting misquotes and incorrect info given on other websites regarding her religion, not debating the number of Gods. All of us know that Hindus believe in a multitude of Gods ranging from the human form to animal as compared to Muslims who believe in a single God. If any muslim ever states that Hinduism is monotheistic then you can correct him/her.
Munni good thing that you correct them. I once came across a whole lot of nonsense on an Indian Religious site regarding Islam too. I wrote to them with the corrections but nobody ever responded!!!
